Indi
Physiotherapist
Indi is an experienced physiotherapist who graduated from James Cook University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and has been a part of the Alliance Rehabilitation team since. Indi has gained experience in the community rehabilitation setting and is strongly passionate about the engagement of goal-based rehabilitation for individuals across the lifespan.
Indi has taken onus on upskilling her knowledge in the paediatric and neurological population to increase her scope of practice and to better her approach and delivery of care. Indi shows compassion and empathy for individuals and is strongly passionate about aiding individuals to achieve their physical milestones.
Since Indi has joined our team she has facilitated group therapy classes for strengthening and mobility, balance prevention and hydrotherapy. Indi also helped establish the Alliance Rehabilitation Paediatric Group with colleague Deeana (Occupational Therapist), to increase holistic care and approach. Indi has a background in dance and enjoys utilising her skills to make rehabilitation more enjoyable.
Indi has a special interest in the following clinical areas:
- Paediatric Rehabilitation (Aiding physical milestone achievements and assessing and supporting children with hypermobility)
- Hydrotherapy (across the lifespan)
- Exercise prescription (for home and return to gym programs)
- Group based exercise programs (Strengthening and balance)
- Neurological rehabilitation- including stroke, traumatic brain injury.
- Gait assessment and retraining
- Returning to sports (special interest in dance)
- Musculoskeletal assessment and rehabilitation
- Falls prevention education and training
- Manual handling awareness
