Alliance Rehabilitation provides a range of health services through our committed and passionate team of health professionals. These services are provided in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation clinic in Townsville (for centre-based therapy) and also at our outreach locations in Ayr, Ingham, Charters Towers, Hughenden, Richmond, Magnetic Island and Palm Island.
Here are some of the programs and services we have on offer:
Alliance Rehabilitation has partnered with the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) to provide a Community Based Rehabilitation Service (CBRS) to communities within the THHS service area, including Hughenden, Ayr, Charters Towers, Ingham, Palm Island, Richmond and Magnetic Island.
The CBRS provides short-term intensive rehabilitation programs for participants following a change in their functional status. The Alliance Rehabilitation team works with participants to promote independence and build capacity, and to always achieve measurable outcomes. There are no fees for allied health services provided under the CBRS, services are funded by THHS.
Referrals to the CBRS can come from general practitioners, hospitals or the community where participants have identified rehabilitation goals. Our website can assist you in making or obtaining a referral.
Alliance Rehabilitation provides a wide range of therapy services, Short-Term Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and assessments for home modification and assistive technology through the NDIS.
Services are available at all locations visited by Alliance Rehabilitation and home visits can be arranged.
Anyone who sustains a serious personal injury in a motor vehicle accident in Queensland may be eligible to receive necessary and reasonable lifetime treatment, care and support through the NIIS. Under this scheme a serious personal injury includes: Permanent spinal cord injuries, Traumatic brain injuries, Multiple or high-level limb amputations, Permanent injury to the brachial plexus, Severe Burns & Permanent legal blindness.
If you have sustained an injury at work, you may be eligible to claim benefits from WorkCover Queensland or your employer if they are Self-Insured. Once WorkCover Queensland has accepted your claim, they may pay for reasonable medical and rehabilitation expenses related to your claim.
Alliance Rehabilitation provides a range of services to DVA veterans and entitled persons through our team of allied health professionals. As our practitioners hold Medicare Provider Numbers we are able to provide DVA Funded Health Services DVA Health Cards (Gold and White) are accepted as payment upon a GP referral
Alliance Rehabilitation provides services to participants and clients under a variety of private, corporate and Medicare arrangements:
- Team Care Arrangements as part of a Medicare referral for Allied Health from your GP
- Medical specialist referral
- Private health insurers such as BUPA, Medibank Private, Queensland Country etc
- CTP and other insurers
- Fully self-funded individuals
- Community organisations who would like to broker allied health services
Coming in 2018 – The short-term Specialist Disability Health Accommodation (SDHA) facility will have a modern contemporary design with features and textures to differentiate and contrast the dwellings from the institutional, clinical, atmosphere that residents may have recently left behind.
