Deeana
Senior Occupational Therapist
Deeana graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours). Since graduating, she has gained experience in a broad range of clinical areas and is passionate about supporting upcoming Occupational Therapists.
Deeana’s experience working across the lifespan has allowed her to develop a compassionate and empathetic approach, which helps her to connect with her participants on a deeper level. She believes in providing a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for participants to enable her participants to reach their full potential and achieve their goals.
Deeana has a special interest in providing care in the following areas:
- Paediatrics Assessment and intervention
- Family Centred Practice
- Play-based Therapy
- Disability services
- Neurological rehabilitation
- Activities of daily living assessments and retraining
- Driving assessment and remediation
Deeana has completed further training in Driving and is one of the accredited Occupational Therapy Driver Assessors at Alliance Rehabilitation. Deeana has also obtained the following additional qualifications:
- Parent Facilitator for the Circle of Security Parenting Program
- Parent Facilitator for the Learn to Play Developmental Program
