Accredited Practising Dietitian
Ana is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a background in private and public practice for a wide range of medical conditions. Ana graduated from Griffith University in 2017, where she was also practicing as a Clinic Dietitian on campus.
Ana was previously a regional ambassador for FOOST in Queensland a non-for-profit company with a focus on creating positive relationships with food from a young age. Having a lived experience with an Eating disorder, Ana is passionate with supporting this population including restrictive or fussy eating in paediatric cases using a food first approach and improving relationships with feared or avoided foods.
She also enjoys complex cases involving gastrostomy feeding (PEG, PEJ), inborn errors of metabolism, renal and kidney disease, and dietary modification post injury (Stoke, Traumatic brain injury, rehabilitation).
Ana is available via telehealth or home visits if one cannot frequent the clinic in person and is proficient in providing the following therapies:
- Optimising Pregnancy and Fertility Nutrition (males and females)
- Eating disorders (CEDC credentialled)
- Improving symptoms of functional gut disorders (IBS/IBD)
- Coeliac disease
- PCOS
- Bariatric surgery – pre and post
- Complex NDIS including advocating for NDIS funded meal supports, supplements and artificial feeding (PEG/PEJ)
- SOS trained therapist (feeding therapy)
Originally from the Gold Coast she enjoys anything active including surfing, bouldering and long-distance running. You’ll usually catch Ana running along the Strand or at Cowboys games during footy season, she is lively, energetic and often described as a “ray of sunshine”.
