Toni graduated from James Cook University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Social Work. Toni has experience in Child Safety working with Kinship and Foster Carers, providing counselling to people with gambling addiction, yarning circle facilitation on Palm Island and providing generalised support and information, advice and referrals during her time volunteering at a Community Centre.
She enjoys building rapport with her participants and enjoys supporting her participants to rediscover the meaning in their life. She is passionate providing holistic, person-centred and empowerment-based care and enjoys supporting her participants to set, plan and achieve their own goals. Toni particularly enjoys providing general and strengths-based counselling, motivational interviewing, CBT, person-centred approaches to therapy, case management and action planning. She enjoys working with all age groups and finding unique ways of connecting with each of her individual participants and their support network.
